A charter boat company in Bermuda caught a whopper of a lob-stah — weighing a massive 14 lbs. - the night after Hurricane Nicole moved through the area. It was caught accidentally while hook and line fishing at night for snapper from shore. The hook was removed from the massive crustacean, pics were taken, and then it was released, Sanctuary Marine Bermuda. The biggest recorded lobster ever caught weighed 44 pounds, 6 ounces and was caught in 1977. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, it was taken from the waters off the coast of Nova Scotia, and it measured 3 feet 5 inches from the tip of its largest claw to the end of its tail fan.
