Turpan Oasis

Turpan, also known as Tulufan, is an oasis city in the Xinjiang Uygur region of China. This historical region is located near the ruins of Jiaohe city, which was destroyed by Genghis Khan during the Han Dynasty. The region has a harsh, cold desert climate, with very hot and long summers, and chilling but short winters.
